Well... first really long race in a long long time, and my time was not that impressive, but with surgery 9 months ago on the foot and a horrible training routine consisting of too much food, travel and tasty beverages, completting the task is goal enough...
I can walk, talk and generally function quite well today so I think I will train for the next one, maybe Seattle Rock N Roll race leading up to, dare I say it, a Fully Marathon in December... that should give me enough time to train (or not) and do it the right way.
Just before the race, full of enthusiasm.... or full of something.
And just after, popsicle good....
Below are the official Chang clock and my Nike+ iPod trainer... much different... I think something needs to be calibrated!
My foot blew up on my at mile 10, identified by the sudden drop in race pace on the chart... never quite fully recovered from it... more training or more surgery!
