I love this phrase and think it will be my mantra for the remainder of 09 and then fully executed in 2010. It comes from a friend of a friend, the story, as I politely lift the an excerpt from her:
"A good friend of ours coined this term some years ago when she was living in Vail, Colorado. After years of working way too much and enjoying life too little, she took a new job which was to take her away from Vail. So in the last month of her ten-year residence in Vail, she adopted the motto "Live Like You're Leavin!" and hiked, biked, skied, danced, partied and otherwise had a blast and lived life to the fullest."
So with permission, I use it here, tell the story and pass it along. My friend, Stacy who took this phrase to heart, embarked on a 6 month tour to visit some amazing places:
Japan – 1 week
China – 3 weeks
Taiwan – 1 week
Thailand – 6 weeks
India & Bhutan – 6 weeks
Dubai – 3 days
Egypt – 2 weeks
Turkey – 3 weeks
Spain – 1 week
London & Amsterdam – 3 days
Using the following set of rules, she and her husband have an amazing story to tell.
