What is Lifes’ purpose

Some say to be happy, some day to be secure, some say to give back, some say to leave a lasting legacy… which is it.
I wonder if its just having the passion to hold something so dear that we risk all else in life, even our own life, to pursue it, hold it, protect it and nuture it.
Storm

how long have I
been in this storm
so overwhelmed by the ocean’s shapeless form
water’s getting harder to tread
with these waves crashing over my head
if I could just see you
everything will be alright
if I’d see you
the storminess will turn to light
and I will walk on water
and you will catch me if I fall
and I will get lost into your eyes
and everything will be alright
and everything will be alright
I know you didn’t
bring me out here to drown
so why am I 10 feet under and upside down
barely surviving has become my purpose
cause I’m so used to living underneath the surface
if I could just see you
everything will be alright
if I see you
the storminess will turn to light
and I will walk on water
and you will catch me if I fall
and I will get lost into your eyes
and everything will be alright
and I will walk on water
you will catch me if I fall
and I will get lost into your eyes
and everything will be alright
I know everything is alright
everything’s alright
Water our seeds.

Though we all have the fear and the seeds of anger within us, we must learn not to water those seeds and instead nourish our positive qualities
Giving…

It is well to give when asked, but it is better to give unasked, through understanding.
Spiritual Health

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience… we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Spiritual health results in a sense of purpose and meaning in life.
Love – The commitment to be present, invest in others rather than remain self engrossed.
Intimacy – The choice to abandon isolation and independence in favor or heart felt sharing, mutual support and interdependence.
Trust – The willingness to be vulnerable instead of cautious, suspiscious and cynical.
Meaning – A clear sense of direction, no longer drifting without purpose at the mercy of life’s winds and waves.
Hope – The vision of a desirable future, a present with promise, eager to be born with help.
Faith – A vision of something outside of yourself available for comfort and direction.
Commitment – The decision to invest rather than straddle the fence, to move toward a goal with energy and endurance.
Patience – The willingness to wait, allowing the future its’ chance to emerge, no longer pushing or controlling to make life happen.
Joy – The rush of delight that fills an empty shell.
Imagination – The new view, the creative spark that challenges habit and boredom.
Courage – The willingness to face limitations and still risk rather than playing it safe or defensive.
Gratitude – The thankful appreciation that counteracts the myth of self-sufficiency.
