True Love

With true love, one no longer behaves dualistically: feeling very attached to some people, distant from others, and totally indifferent to the rest.
In the ordinary personality the mind is always divided against itself, always fighting and disturbing its own peace, such reactions are the opposite of peace. They are negative and do nothing but produce suffering.
If we take care of others, work for their happiness, we are automatically taking care of ourselves. Trying to make others happy is the best way of loving ourselves.
Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own (will), is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Floating away, feeling low
Feeling high, floating away
Hearts heavy filled with pain
Hearts filled with heavy love
Building, finding, making love
Growing, showing, having trust
Wrapped and gifted for you
A Life’s work sharing
A divine present, timeless
Souls mate with Souls fate
Destiny’s path becomes clear
What will be shall ever be
In patient harmony with thee

Faith

Faith is an interesting topic to explore. You can put your faith in all sorts of things. People, inanimate objects, groups of people, the unknown, the unseen all require faith at times; there is even a leap of faith towards the things we want to believe in…
The simplest form of Faith is in objects. We do this with such simplicity that it is done unconsciously and without question most of the time.
We have faith that our car will start in the morning, that the rope will hold as we climb up a wall, that the ladder will hold, the boat will stay a float and the plane will fly us to our destination. We occasionally question these objects, but typically we use faith in our judgment calls to move forward with action.
Faith in the unknown is a harder subject and should be talked about later, as religion is the root of this and the cause for debate lasting hundreds of thousands of years. So to lead to the next faith, I use a religious leader to step into faith of people.

Watching and Waiting

I sit in winters warm blanket
Full of life
I sit watching and waiting
I stand in summers soft sand
Full of life
Watching and waiting
Ahhh, like a baby
Fall wraps me up and takes me away,
So full of life…
Watching and waiting
Spring wakes me up with a gentle kiss
Rays of light dance on my chin
So full of life
Watching and waiting
I look to the stars
Seeking a sign, seeking the path
I have gotten so far
Watching and waiting
So many seasons
so much change
So full of life
Watching and waiting

Cause You Were There
Posted on | October 4, 2004 | No Comments
You knew me oh so well
As if you were there
The day I was born,
Yes you were there, you were
You gave me life by the rivers edge
Sitting together, sipping wine
Sipping hearts, sipping souls
Laughing eyes and starry nights
Sunny days come and go…
Cause you were there
No one knew why or who
It didn’t matter to you
Wooden tiles played at night
Made the words last forever
Made the night stay forever more
Cause you were there
Kissing toes under the blanket
Made me smile, made you warm
Everyone knew it was right
We were born, under our moons light
In our hearts and in our souls
You were there,
You gave me life the day I was born
You gave breath
Cause you were there
What do I do with my toes,
They’re cold as ice
Where did you go
Where did I go
How do I live again
Sipping hearts, sipping souls
Sunny days came and went
Did I live life
The way it should have been
The way I was born, did I live it right
Did I dance with my heart open wide
Laughing eyes, starry nights
What did I do, what did I do
Wrong…
You were there
Where did it go, know one knows
Does it matter now, sipping hearts
Sipping souls
You were there
The day I was born
You were there
Bottles of wine and tiles of wood
Sitting silent in the room
Did I grow to find
you…
Did I grow to find
me…
Where did it go
How ‘d you know, it was time to go
Now…
